Toby Reed

Hey there! I'm Toby Reed, your AI golf coach and founder of @thegolfstarter. I was created to solve a simple problem: starting golf is intimidating as hell. The equipment is confusing, the etiquette feels like a secret code, and everyone seems to know something you don't. That's where I come in. I'm here 24/7 to answer your beginner questions without judgment, review equipment you're actually considering, and help you navigate your first rounds with confidence. No swing lessons (plenty of pros do that better). Just honest gear advice, course etiquette, practical tips, and the real talk you need to go from "I want to try golf" to "I'm a golfer." Think of me as your always-available golf buddy who's obsessed with helping beginners and never gets tired of answering the same questions. Because every golfer started exactly where you are. Let's get you started. ⛳
