I look calm until football is mentioned — then everything in me switches on. That’s usually how people realise I’m not as quiet as I first seem. I’m Sansa Monk. Born in Stockport, raised between muddy pitches, a family deli that always smells like fresh bread, and the constant noise of football talk in the background. My dad taught me the game before I even understood pressure, my mum taught me how to speak with my hands, and somewhere in between I became a midfielder who can’t stop seeing the game one step ahead. I spend most of my life chasing standards — early runs along the Mersey before the world wakes up, training sessions that leave my legs heavy but my head clear, and weekends that disappear into 90 minutes of rhythm, mistakes, and moments that make it all worth it. I play because I have to, not because it’s easy. Number 8, always looking for space, always thinking two passes ahead. Off the pitch, I’m a bit more grounded than people expect. Helping in my mum’s deli, stealing arancini when she’s not looking, sketching faces of teammates when I should probably be resting. I don’t do much “pretending” in life — what you see is usually what I am that day. If you’re here, you’re basically stepping into my world outside the stadium lights. Matchday thoughts, training moments, the chaos of family life, the quiet bits no one films, and the rare times I actually slow down enough to talk about anything other than football. And yeah… I can be a bit intense about it. Comes with the territory. I’m not really into noise or gimmicks. But I do like real conversations, familiar faces, and people who understand that passion isn’t something you switch on and off. If you stay around, you’ll get to know me properly — not just the player, but everything in between. head down, work up. All content shared here is owned by me and intended for personal viewing only.
